Sermon Notes  |  THE CRY OF SURRENDER

Psalm 31
But I trust in you, O LORD; I say, “You are my God.” My times are in your hand…
Psalm 31.14-15a (NRSV)

Introduction

David Cries Out

David Prays from a Place of Radical Trust

We must humble ourselves and put our trust in God

David says, “God holds us!” vv.14-15a”

David Surrenders Himself to God’s Providential Care and Steadfast Love

When we have assumed the proper place of humility before God, we can surrender ourselves to God.

Jesus quotes Psalm 31, from the Cross.

You have heard it said, when you get to the end of your rope, hold on! This is WRONG!

What we should be saying is when you get to the end of your rope, LET GO!

David Worships the Lord in Sure and Certain Trust.

Conclusion
